Bihar Home Guard Career Growth and Promotion
The selected individual must complete a one-year probation term after being hired by the Bihar Police Department. However, their confirmation after the specified term is subject to the Commandant's judgement. He will make his decision based on a few factors:- The basic training must be completed within three years of being assigned to the position, otherwise, the Commandant has the authority to dismiss such individuals.
- If such an incident occurs, such as the training course not being held, or if the employee becomes involved with any type of flood or drought relief work, or any type of illness/accident, the probation term will be extended by up to a year.
- Promotion in the Bihar Homeguard will be handled by the Departmental Promotion Committee, which is chaired by the Commandant General.
