CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

The commission has released the age limit criteria for the post of Medical Officer under CGPSC to be 32 - 40 years of age. Candidates who fall under the given criteria are eligible for applying for the post. However, there are some age relaxations provided to different categories, which are as follows:

Category	Age Relaxations
ST, SC, and OBC	35 years
Candidates of Chhattisgarh domicile	40 years
For SC, ST and OBC candidates of Chhattisgarh domicile	45 years
For teaching staff, volunteer workers and other government officials	38 years max (The relaxation depends on the number of years of service, however, it cannot exceed 35 years of age.)
For state-level award holders like the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award holders	38 years
For candidates with a disability	5 years of relaxation
For abandoned, widowed or divorced women	5 years of relaxation

CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

The commission lays strict emphasis on the CGPSC MO eligibility based on educational qualification. Candidates applying for the post of CGPSC MO must have an MBBS degree from a recognized institution or board to apply for the recruitment procedure.

CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Nationality

All Indian citizens are eligible for applying to the CGPSC MO post. Permanent residents of Chhattisgarh will get special preference. Candidates must be fluent in English and Hindi to succeed in the examination. Non-Indian residents are not eligible for applying for the post. 

CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Number of Attempts

There is no official limit for the number of attempts for the post of CGPSC Medical Officer. Candidates who are applying for the post must note that the commission permits attempts for the examination until the maximum age limit is reached. 

CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Experience

The Candidates applying for the post of a medical officer under CGPSC are not required for any prior experience in the field. However, they must have a thorough knowledge of this area to compete at the recruitment level. 

CGPSC MO Eligibility Criteria - Important Points

There are some important points candidates must keep in mind when noting the Eligibility Criteria for CGPSC post of Medical Officer. 

• The examination is in Hindi and English. Candidates must choose the language of comfort to attempt the entire examination unless mentioned otherwise

• As per the guidelines set by the Chattisgarh Commission, candidates applying as residents of Chhattisgarh will be given preference in the eligibility criteria.
