The CGPSC syllabus has the first part which is the CGPSC Pre syllabus. The CGPSC Prelims consist of two papers i.e.

• Logical reasoning and analytical ability
• General mental ability
• Decision making and problem-solving
• Interpersonal skills including communication skills
• Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.)
• Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi Language
• Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. - Class 10 level)
• Knowledge of Hindi Language and Chhattisgarhi Language
