Delhi Police Constable Exam: For Class 12th Pass to Government Job

Staff Selection Commission has recently announced the important dates regarding Delhi Police Recruitment for Constable Exam 2020. The Delhi Police online form are available on the official website of SSC (Staff Selection Commission) from 1st August and the last date to apply for the same is 7th September. And the dates for Computer Based Exam are supposed to be 27th November to 14th December.

Delhi Police Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility requirements for applying in Delhi Police Constable Exam, which are as follows:

• The candidate need to have passed his/her class 12th from a recognised Institute.
• Male candidates need to have a valid driver’s licence for LMV ( both two wheeler and four wheeler). The Staff Selection Commission won’t accept any learner’s licence.
• The age of the candidate should be 18 to 25 years. There is certain relaxation in the age based on the following categories:
 
Category Relaxation
SC/ST candidates 5 years
OBC candidates 3 years
National or International level sportsperson 5 years
SC/ST sportsperson 10 years
Children (male or female) of working, retired or deceased personnel of Delhi Police Upto 29 years
Ex-servicemen of Unreserved Category 3 years
Ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST 8 years
Ex-servicemen belonging to OBC 6 years
Divorced, judicially separated or widowed women (Unmarried) 5 years

Delhi Police Constable Exam Paper Pattern

Delhi Police Constable Exam is supposed to be conducted in three phases as prescribed by Staff Selection Commission (SSC):

• Computer Based Exam
• Physical Endurance and Measurement Test
• Medical Test

Computer Based Exam

It comprises of four sections, namely, general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability and computer fundamentals. All the sections constitute a 100 marks paper. Candidates are allotted 90 minutes to complete the their Paper. Candidates need to be careful while appearing for the paper as it has negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong choice. The paper is set in both Hindi and English Language for the convenience of students.

Candidates with NCC certificates are provided with bonus marks.

Above 40 years 9 minutes 3 feet 10 ½ feet

Physical Standards for Women

Upto 30 years 5 minutes 3 feet 9 feet
Between 30 to 40 years 6 minutes 2 ½ feet 8 feet
Above 40 years 7 minutes 2 ¼ feet 7 feet

Other Physical Requirements for both Men and Women
 
Height for Women 157 cms 5 cms relaxation for certain categories
Height for Men 165 cms 5 cms relaxation for certain categories
Chest size for Men 78 cms - 82 cms 5 cms relaxation for certain categories

Those who qualify the above mentioned Delhi police physical test requirements move forward in the process of selection. Medical test is of qualifying nature and hence it is important to clear it as well to finally join the Delhi police force.

Salary

Candidates recruited after qualifying all the phases of exam are provided with a handsome salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 38,000 per month. The salary is constituted with Rs. 2000 of grade pay, Rs. 25,500 of Basic Pay and various allowances. The allowance include house rent allowance, transport allowance, uniform allowance, etc.
