Directions (1 –5):- What will come in place of question mark (?) in the following number series?
Q.1. 183, 206, 160, 229, (?), 252, 114
(1) 137
(2) 183
(3) 137
(4) 229
(5) 206

Answer: 1
Solution:
The logic follows here is-
183 + 23 = 206
206 - 46 = 160
160 + 69 = 229
229 - 92 = 137
137 +115 = 252
252 - 138 = 114

Q.2. 188, (?), 140, 132, 128, 126, 125
(1) 125
(2) 154
(3) 132
(4) 126
(5) 154

Answer: 5
Solution:
The logic follows here is-
186 – 32 = 154
154 - 16 = 140
140 - 8 = 132
132 - 4 = 128
128 - 2 = 126
126 - 1 = 125

Q.3. 9, 15, 49, (?), 961, 5759
(1) 5759
(2) 961
(3) 191
(4) 49
(5) 15

Answer: 3
Solution:
The logic follows here is-
(9 × 2) – 3 = 15
 (15 × 3) + 4 = 49
 (49 × 4) – 5 = 191
 (191 × 5) + 6 = 961
 (961 × 6) - 7 = 5759

Q.4. 2442, 1222, 614, 312, 163, (?), 55.75
(1) 1222
(2) 312
(3) 89.5
(4) 614
(5) 163

Answer: 3
Solution:
The logic follows here is-
2442/2 + 1 = 1222
1222/2 + 3= 614
614/2 + 5 = 312
312/2 + 7 =163
163/2 + 9 = 89.5
89.5/2 + 11 = 55.75

Q.5. 10, 12, 27, 85, (?), 1731, 10393
(1) 116
(2) 463
(3) 771
(4) 345
(5) 234

Answer: 4
Solution:
The logic follows here is-
10 x 1 + 2 = 12
12 x 2 + 3 = 27
27 x 3 + 4 = 85
85 x 4 + 5 = 345
345 x 5 + 6 = 1731
1731 x 6 + 7 = 10393

Directions (Q.6 –10): -Read the following information carefully to answer the questions.
In annual seminar of three companies, A, B and C. some male and female employees represent their companies. Average number of female employees who represent A and B is 420. Q.6:-Total employees who represent A is what percent more than total male employee who represents B?
 (1) 331/3 %
(2) 301/3 %
(3) 271/3 %
(4) 391/3 %
(5) None of these

Answer: 1
Solution:
Required % = (1200-900)/900  ×100= 33 1/3%
By passage
Female in A+ Female in B = 840
Male in A + Male in B = 1620……. (1)
According to passage
2/3 Male in A= Female in A and 2/5 Male in B = Female in B
So, 2/3 Male in A + 2/5 Male in B = 840……… (2)
On solving eq. 1 and 2   we get
Male in A = 720, Male in B = 900, Female in A = 480 and Female in B = 360
            Male   Female Total
A          720     480     1200
B          900     360     1260
C          480     600     1080
Total 2100     1440   3540
