UPSC IES ISS 2021 Recruitment: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Ministry of Statistics and Programme
Implementation has released the a  notification for recruitment to  Indian Economic Service (IES)/Indian Statistical Service (ISS) on its official  website  upsc.gov.in. Interested and Eligible  candidates  can apply on or before  27th April UPSC IES Online Applications can be withdrawn from 04th May to 10th May 2021.

Indian Statistical Service - 11 Posts


Educational Qualification:


Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or  a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

Nationality:

Candidate must be from one of the following - 

An Indian citizen.
A subject of Nepal
A subject of Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee who came to India with an intention to settle permanently before the cut off date of 1st January 1962. 
Anyone who is of Indian origin and who has migrated from either Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with an intention to settle in India permanently.

Age Limit:

The candidate should be in the age group -21 to 30 years as of 1st August 2021. There are relaxations in terms of upper age limit to various candidates as per govt rules .


SC / ST -    5 years
OBC -    3 years
Defence Services Personnel-    3 years
Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs     -5 years
ECO / SSCOs     -5 years
PwD (Blindness / dead and hard of hearing / locomotor disability / Autism / multiple disabilities)    -10 years

Female / SC / ST / PwD-     Nil
