As the organisation in charge of administering the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET), the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) publishes UTET Eligibility 2021. (UTET). Prior to beginning their online applications, applicants must read and comprehend the UTET Eligibility 2021 in its entirety. Through the official announcement, UBSE will advise applicants of their eligibility for the UTET test. The candidate shall be instantly disqualified from the selection process if it is determined at any point that they do not fulfil any requirements for UTET eligibility or that they knowingly provided false information on their application.

UTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Educational Qualifications

The UTET exam is mandatory for candidates vying for teaching positions in private or public schools of Uttarakhand. To be able to teach children about different subjects, the candidates must have certain educational qualifications and degrees. Mentioned below are the educational qualifications a UTET candidate must have to be eligible for teaching posts in Uttarakhand:

Classes 

Minimum Educational Qualification 

Class 1st to 5th (Primary Classes)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education.)  OR

    Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) OR

    Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
  • Shiksha Mitra passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), from IGNOU

Class 6th to 8th (Elementary Classes)

  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.) OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)) OR
  • (Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)). Provided that minimum percentage of marks in Graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011

UTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Nationality

  • Candidates must be nationals of India i.e. either citizens of India or permanent residents of India.
  • They must be able to provide the required, valid, government-issued, or authorized documents to prove their citizenship or residency in the country.

The UTET I exam is meant for those candidates that wish to teach the primary classes, i.e. classes 1 to 5. The UTET II exam is meant for those candidates that wish to teach the elementary classes, i.e. 6 to 8.
