WB Police Constable Exam Pattern

The exam consists of 3 Papers and a Physical Test.
The papers are 
  1. Written Screening test
  2. Final Combined Written examination

  1.      Paper 1 - Similar to phase 1 
  2.      Paper 2- English 
  3.      Paper 3 - Bengali/ Hindi / Urdu / Nepali
Phase 1 is to be  completed in 90 minutes
For the final written examination, the time duration is as follows.
  1.      Paper 1 - 2 hours 
  2.      Paper 2- English - 1 hour
  3.      Paper 3 - Bengali/ Hindi / Urdu / Nepali- 1 hour

Phase 1 - Written Round 

This is a qualifying round for the physical test. The duration is 90 minutes and the maximum possible marks are 100. There is a provision for negative marking 1/4 th of marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. Cut-off will be declared by the board.

Final Written examination

This is the main stage marks with the physical test are added to determine the merit list. This stage is for 200 marks. The details are as follows.
  1.      Paper 1 - 100 marks 
  2.      Paper 2- English - 50 marks 
  3.      Paper 3 - Bengali/ Hindi / Urdu / Nepali- 50 marks

WB Police Constable - Physical Test.

This has two parts physical measurements and physical efficiency test. The details are covered below.
