1957: South Africa's ruling government-approved race separation in universities. It all began in 1948 after the National Party gained power in South Africa. The all-white government instantly started implements existing guidelines of racial isolation. Under the apartheid, non-white South Africans (a majority of the population) would now be forced to live in separate areas from whites and use separate public facilities.

2004: Manmohan Singh was designated as the 13th Prime Minister of India. Yes, the great and just PM who skyrocketed our economy to be the 3rd in the entire world.
