The total marks is 400 and there is no negative marking .The candidates need to score minimum 35 % marks in each subject & Overall 50% marks.120 Minutes (02 Hour) will be the duration of examination

Important points to ponder upon :

• The exam will have 160 questions in total.

• Each question will carry 2.5 marks.

• Each section will have 40 Questions .

• There is No Negative Marking.

After selection in written exam candidates will be called for Physical Standard Test :

Male :

Gen/OBC/SC -

Height -168 cms
Chest -79-84 cms

ST

Height -160 cms
Chest- 77-82 cms

Female :

Gen/OBC/SC :

Height -152 cms
Chest - N/A

ST :

Height -147 cms
Chest - N/A

Female Candidates should at least weigh 40 kgs.

Candidates who clear the Physical Standard test will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.

In PST they have to cover a certain distance in certain time period and that will be the criteria for selection :.

Male- 4.8 km to be completed within 28 minutes
Female-2.4 km to be completed within 16 minutes


 

Medical Examination: This is the last stage for selection to the post of Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector. Inorder to be deemed  medically fit candidates need to fulfill :

• The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 in  both eyes without correction (without glasses). 
• The full-field vision should be present in the case of each eye. 
• There will be a disqualification in case a candidate has squint, color blindness, or any morbid condition of either eye or both eyes. 

 Please Note: All the candidates need to remember that all stages mentioned above are qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the written examination.
