Syllabus for JEE Mathematics
The following six topics are covered in the JEE mathematics syllabus:1. Calculus: Because of its breadth and difficulty, this unit is essential for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced. This unit is likely to appear in a large number of questions on any engineering entrance exam. If you create a firm foundation in this unit, you won't have to worry as much about JEE Mathematics; consequently, you should practise and prepare well for this unit. 2. Co-ordinate Geometry: This unit focuses on geometrical shapes such as circles, parabolas, and hyperbolas, among others. The majority of the questions in this unit are centred on the application of formulas, which makes it extremely fascinating and a high-scoring unit for the majority of students. This part is where you can get the most points. More emphasis should be placed on the parabola, circle, ellipse, straight lines, and hyperbola. Straight Lines and Circles are the most important of all of these.
3. 3D Geometry and Vectors: This is a challenging and sophisticated unit. It has a comparable weighting in JEE as Coordinate Geometry. It also includes complex numbers and some geometric elements. If you grasp certain sophisticated principles like vectors and 3D geometry, you can easily score high in this subject. Focus on developing a strong foundation in the fundamentals and using visualisation to better grasp this unit.
4. Algebra: This unit is highly engaging, and several key topics such as logarithms, matrices, and determinants, as well as quadratic equations, are relatively simple to grasp and are popular among many students. There were a few questions from Complex Number combined with vectors on several occasions in JEE Main and Advanced. You can expect a passage-type question from matrices and determinants in JEE Advanced, and it may be the easiest to answer. Permutations and Combinations will also include a few conceptual questions.
