NOTE: It is provided that, in addition to passing a competitive examination, candidates must also pass a qualifying Punjabi language test with at least 50% of the required score in order to be assigned to any position in the Group C service.

The Punjabi Language test is a required prerequisite, and if a candidate does not receive at least 50% in this test, they will not be included in the final merit list of candidates who will be chosen, regardless of their performance in the other exam papers.
