CBSE has announced the dates Central Teachers Eligibility Test to recruit eligible and interested candidates to the post of teacher in various government schools. The CTET 2 is scheduled to be held from 16 th December 2021 to 13 January 2022. The Registration process for CTET Exam has been activated by CBSE. The online application is active from  20-09-2021 to 19-10-2021. The candidates applying for the exam must be aware of CTET Syllabus as well as the exam pattern for the exam. The CTET exam consists fo two papers- Paper 1 is for a candidate who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V, while Paper 2 is for who intends to be a teacher for classes VI toVIII. Candidates must have a clear idea of the syllabus and exam pattern in order to utilize the available time in the best possible way as well as plan and organize their preparation. The exam pattern and syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are different and are mentioned clearly in the officail notification. CTET Syllabus

As per the official notification, the syllabus for CTET Exam is largely made up of Child Development & Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics and Science, Environment Science, and the Social Sciences. The syllabus though similar for Paper 1 and Paper 2, its is not the same. The candidates must note the CTET Syllabus for their benefit and ensure they follow the one suitable for their Paper. The official notification describes the intended syllabus but is silent on the finer point like topics and sections. Based on past year's question papers we have tried to break down the syllabus into topics for the benefit of candidates. The CTET Syllabus Paper wise is as follows:

CTET Syllabus Paper 2 covers a higher level of topics, where candidates will be tested on the basis of their learning ability, their evaluation ability and the specialized subject. Given are the topics for the second paper of CTET.

CTET Exam Pattern 

The exam pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is described in the official notification. As mentioned above the paper 1 is for the primary level and Paper 2 is for the upper primary. The detailed exam pattern for the CTET Exam is as follows.

We have covered the CTET Syllabus and Exam pattern in detail but the candidates must keep in mind "The questions in the test for Paper-I and Paper-II will be based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes VI-VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages, could be up to the Senior Secondary stage.".
