NEET 2021 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, the 12 September 2021 (Sunday) in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages. The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NEET qualification guidelines 2021 for medical aspirants in the official notification.  NEET 2021 will be conducted for admissions to MBBS, BDS, Ayush, and other medical courses. The NEET Eligibility is based on age limit, educational qualification, minimum percentage, nationality, and the number of attempts. NEET Eligibility

The official webpage of NEET on NTA's website contains detailed information on the eligibility criteria of NEET 2021. The NEET Eligibility is discussed under the following heads.

NEET Eligibility Nationality

 Candidates must be the citizen of India. NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCIs (Overseas Citizen of India), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) & Foreign Nationals can also apply.

 NEET Eligibility Age Limit

As per the guidelines by NTA - A Candidates must have completed 17 years as of December 31, 2021. The candidates must note that the decision on the maximum age limit is sub judice, The earlier the age limit was 25 years. Presently the official guidelines are silent on the maximum age limit.

NEET Eligibility Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed class 12 th from a recognized board or they should have similar educational qualifications. The NEET Eligibility is also based on minimum marks in class 12 which is as follows: NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects:

  • UR - 50%,

  • OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

  • PWD - 45%

 NEET Eligibility Number of Attempts 

As per the official guidelines, there is no limit on the number of attempts.
