SSC GD Eligibility Criteria
SSC specifies the eligibility criteria for SSC GD Exam in the official notification that it releases for the recruitment. Candidates who apply for SSC GD Exam should meet this eligibility criteria. If the candidates do not satisfy the eligibility criterias as mentioned in the official notification, their application will be rejected. SSC GD Eligibility- Nationality
As for Nationality, the eligibility is for candidates is as mentioned below. In order to be eligible to appear for the exam, candidates must satisfy these nationality criterias and must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of residing in India permanently, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, and Vietnam with the intention of settling in India permanently.
SSC GD Eligibility: Age Limit
There are various posts in SSC GD Exam that the candidates can apply for and the age limit for each of these posts is different. However, candidates must be above 18 years of age and not more than 23 years as on August 1, 2021, be eligible to appear for SSC GD Exam. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.

Along with the above age limits, SSC offers age relaxations to candidates belonging to certain categories which are as follows:
