The Union Public Service Commission conducts NDA Exam twice every year.  The notification for NDA I 2023 has been released and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on 16 April 2023. The exam will be conducted in three stages- written exam, SSB interview and medical test. NDA written exam comprises of two papers- Maths and General Ability Test. The total marks for the written exam are 900 wherein 300 marks are for Maths paper and 900 for GAT paper. NDA Exam Pattern 

There are two sections in NDA Written Exam- Mathematics and General Ability Test. The exam is conducted in offline mode. 
  1. All the questions in the exam will be objective type.
  2. There are a total of 150 questions in GAT and Mathematics has a total of 120 questions.
  3. Each section of the exam will be held for 2 ½ hours, the total duration for the exam is 5 hours.
  4. Marking schemes is- The GAT section will be for 600 marks while the Mathematics section will carry 300 marks.
  5. The GAT section is divided into two parts. Part A comprises English while Part B consists of General Knowledge.

NDA Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme

The marking scheme is an important component of the NDA Exam Pattern. Prior knowledge of the marking scheme is a must in order to succeed in the NDA Exam. 
The illustration of the marking scheme as per NDA Exam Pattern are as follows:

NDA Exam Pattern: SSB Interview

All those candidates who clear the written examination appear for SSC Interview. SSC Interview comprises of 900 marks and is conducted over a time period of 4-5 days. SSB Interview comprises of the following stages:
  • SSB Interview Stage I: Stage I is also called the Screening Test. It comprises of Officer Intelligence Test (OIT) and Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT). Candidates who qualify for these two tests or are screened in, move to the next stage.
  • SSB Interview Stage II: This stage spans over 4 days. There are different tasks and tests conducted on different days such as Group Testing Officer Tasks, Conference, Psychology Test and Personal Interview. The detailed pattern of Stage II is as follows:
