The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) publishes the UTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern on its official website. Before beginning their studies, candidates should properly comprehend the UTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern in order to increase their chances of passing the exam with better marks.

• The UTET Selection Process comprises two stages i.e.

  written exam and interview. There are two written papers out of which the candidates can either appear for one or both. Stage I is for the UTET Paper I and Stage II also has the UTET Paper II.
• Candidates who qualify the written exam are shortlisted for a personal interview round, during which their documents will also be verified. 
• Candidates who qualify Paper I are eligible to teach primary students i.e. from class 1st to 5th. Candidates who qualify Paper II are eligible to teach students from class 6th to 8th. 
• As per UTET Exam Pattern, both Paper I and Paper II are worth 150 marks each. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark. There is no negative marking for this exam. Both the papers are for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The selection of the candidates will be completely dependent on their performance in the Paper I and Paper II, depending on which ones they have attempted.

UTET Syllabus 2022

The UBSE publishes the formal announcement in which the UTET Syllabus 2022 is made available. To plan their study schedule and approach effectively, applicants must have a full understanding of the UTET exam syllabus. The UTET test syllabus is listed below:

UTET Syllabus 2022 – Paper I and Paper II

The subjects in Paper I and Paper II differ only slightly. The syllabus for both the papers are provided in detail below. The subjects include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Environmental Studies.

The syllabus for each subject is:

UTET Exam Pattern 2022

UTET Selection Process consists of only one stage i.e. the written exam. When it comes to the written exam, candidates may opt for either or both of Paper I and Paper II or even both. Here are some extremely important details for UTET Exam Pattern that the candidates must note:

UTET Paper I

• UTET Paper I is for the candidates who want to teach the primary classes, i.e. classes 1 to 5.
• The examination will be completely objective-type, including MCQs.
• Each question is worth 1 mark. Correct answers are rewarded with 1 mark.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect answers or questions left unattempted.
• The paper is bilingual, i.e. it is set in English and Hindi.
• The total duration for the paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

UTET Paper II

• UTET Paper II is for the candidates that wish to teach the elementary classes, i.e. classes 6th – 8th.
• This paper will be completely objective-type, including MCQs.
• Each correct answer is rewarded with 1 mark and the total paper is worth 150 marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect answers or unattempted questions.
• The paper is set in bilingual format, i.e. it is provided in English and Hindi languages.
• The paper is set for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
