Which is the most sensitive organ in our body?
sense organs are the organs which sense the external stimuli and send the information for further processing in the brain. The tongue is sensitive to taste. Nose is an olfactory organ which senses smell. The skin is the most sensitive organ in our body which responds to touch, temperature etc. Skin is the largest organ of our body. It acquires an area of around 20 square feet in our body. It is the most vital organ in our body. It consists of a large fleshy surface with nails, hairs, glands and nerves. The skin also contains the hair follicles through which the hair anchors. The texture of the skin is different at different areas. For example skin at the heels and palms are thicker as compared to others. The function of skin is that it acts as a barrier which protects the inside environment from outside. The skin contains receptors for touch, pain, temperature etc. Thus we can say that skin is the most sensitive organ of our body.
