Explain why the rate of photosynthesis is low both at lower and higher temperatures.

The reactions occurring during the process of photosynthesis is under the control of enzymes, which work under an optimum range of temperature only. The very high temperatures as well as very low temperatures decrease the activity of the enzymes. So, the rate of photosynthesis is low both at lower and higher temperatures.
