Give a comparison between Cyclic and non-cyclic photophosphorylation
Cyclic Photophosphorylation It is the synthesis of ATP coupled with electron transport activated only by PS-I. The process is not affected by inhibitors such as CMU, DCMU and orthophenanthroline. This process is predominantly found in bacteria Non-cyclic Photophosphorylation This process involves two photosystems, PS-I and PS-II. The process also produces NADPH in addition to ATP. It facilitates the synthesis of organic molecules and long term storage of energy.
