Gymnosperms are vascular plants with naked seeds. The seeds are exposed to the surface of the sporophyll. The reproductive organs are usually borne in cones on which spores are spirally arranged. Gymnosperms are classified into four groups: Conifers, Cycads, Ginkgo, Gnetophytes.
