EXPLANATION There are six major classification of the reactions of enzyme in order to make it more convenient: - - Oxidoreductases responsible for the oxidation reduction reaction. - Transferases responsible for the transfer of groups amongst substrates. - Hydrolases responsible for the hydrolysis. - Lyases responsible for the removal of groups from the substrate. - Isomerases responsible for the conversion of isomers. - Ligases responsible for the binding of the substrate. Uses: Enzymes are being widely used in food, cosmetics, many pharmaceutical industries and in Argo culture sector as well. It could be extracted naturally but can also be produced synthetically. For e.g.; E coli and yeast are produced artificially in large amount in order to attain the particular demand of a product. Nowadays, many cosmetic industries are using seaweed and Algae in order to enhance the product as it is highly proteinaceous in nature and helps in the formation of collagen. Enzymes are used for the hydrolysis of Penicillin G & V for the Antibiotic production. In order to maintain the fertility of the soil and growth of the crop, Dehydrogenases, Phosphates and Sulfatases are often being used. Many Beverage industries also use Enzymes like Yeast to increase the rate of reaction. Enzymes like Proteases, Cellulases and Lipases are used in the food industry and are also considered to be as important Industrial Enzymes. Apart from all, Enzymes plays a major key role in each and every biochemical reaction. FINAL ANSWER Enzymes are the ones that helps in eliminating the toxins, breaking down of food particle and also helps in the synthesis process. In fact, Enzymes plays a major role in each and every function of every living being.
