In vegatetive propagation, new plants are produced from Vegetative parts of original plants such as leaves ,stems and roots. The new plant contains genetic material of only one parent. This is the advantage that you can produce a plant with desirable traits. Parts of plants used for Vegetative propagation are bulbs,tuber keikis,suckers. Examples of Vegetative propagation are Tuber of potato, rhizome of ginger. Final Answer Vegetative reproduction is asexual reproduction in which a plant grows from a fragment of the parent plant and produces a new plant. Vegetative propagation is advantageous for the growers who want the highest quality plants. It helps to save time and money.
