Differentiate between gametogenesis from embryogenesis
Gametogenesis is of two types Spermatogenesis and Oogenesis. Spermatogenesis is the process of formation of male gametes while Oogenesis is the process of formation of female gametes. There are two phases of gametogenesis maturation and cell division. Gametogenesis leads to fertilization. Embryogenesis involves the formation and development of a multicellular embryo from the unicellular zygote. There are four phases of Embryogenesis, cleavage, gastrulation, neurulation, and organogenesis. Cleavage - zygote undergoes a number if cell divisions, this process is referred to as cleavage.Gastrulation - In this process, a single-layered blastula is reorganized into a multilayered structure, called Gastrula.Neurulation- Neurulation is a folding process in vertebrate embryos.Embryogenesis is responsible for organ formation, different kinds of tissue formation.
