Name the common elements present in the anode mud in electrolytic refining of copper. Why are they so present ?
In the electrolytic refining of copper, the anode dust contains antimony, selenium, tellurium, silver gold and platinum. These are impurities in blister copper. They are much less reactive and unaffected through CuSO4−H2SO4 answer and hence, calm down below anode as anode dust.
