The factor factors withinside the blood are: (1) Erythrocytes: They are the maximum considerable cells and include the pink pigment referred to as haemoglobin. They bring oxygen to all components of the frame. Red blood cells are produced constantly in a few components of the frame consisting of the marrow of lengthy bones, ribs, etc. There are approximately 4 - 6 million RBCs consistent with cubic millimetre of blood. (2) Leukocytes Leucocytes are colourless cells. These cells do now no longer incorporate haemoglobin. They are the most important cells of the frame and are divided into primary categories. (a) Granulocytes These leucocytes have granules of their cytoplasm and consist of neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophiles. Neutrophils are phagocytic cells that defend the frame in opposition to diverse infecting agents. Eosinophils are related to allergic reactions, at the same time as basophiles are concerned in inflammatory responses. (b) Agranulocytes Lymphocytes and monocytes are agranulocytes. Lymphocytes generate immune responses towards infecting agents, at the same time as monocytes are phagocytic in nature. (3) Platelets Platelets are small abnormal our bodies found in blood. They include important chemical compounds that assist in clotting. The essential characteristic of platelets is to sell clotting.
