option c. The response of an acid with a base is referred to as a neutralisation response. The merchandise of this response are salt and water. For example, the response of hydrochloric acid(HCl) with sodium hydroxide(NaOH) produces an answer of sodium chloride(NaCl)(salt) and a few extra water molecules.
