The total contribution of A atom is calculated as: A=18 × 8 + 12 × 6 = 4A=18 × 8 + 12 × 6 = 4   The total contribution of B atom is calculated as: B=112 × 4 + 1 = 4B=112 × 4 + 1 = 4   The ratio will be = A : B = 4 : 4 or 1 : 1 The formula will be AB.
