How has COVID-19 affected social media?
Although it’s hard to know the exact impacts COVID-19 has had on social media, a few trends are already apparent. The World Health Organisation announced an ‘infodemic’ running parallel to the pandemic. They’re referring to the uncertainty and anxiety that comes from the spread of misinformation, often spread on social media.
