2. Why is digital marketing important?
The average American spent 9.4 hours a week online in 2000, today it's 23.6 hours. The number of people accessing the internet from mobile devices has risen from 23% in 2010 to 84% now. Smartphone email use jumped from 21% to 79%. These numbers are from a study done by the University of Southern California. The time people spend on the internet with their devices is continuously increasing. When we want to reach people with our marketing, we must meet people where they are - on electronic devices.
