The central function of any design is to articulate the message, and thereby the audience should be able to recognize the particular design. We are often stunned by the certain embellishments being drawn or incised on an object, even though these marks may not have any bearing on the functionality of the object. But it creates a visual treat to our eyes. So any design should fulfill a function as well as a purpose. It is known as the teleology of design. It is the most important aspect of any design as far as any user is concerned. Final Answer If a design is functional and not aesthetic, there are fewer chances for the design to get noticed. The design won’t be attractive if it does not have a visual appeal. Therefore, the design will seem to be soulless.
