What is aspect ratio?
Another feature of a video display is the aspect ratio, which is the ratio of the number of vertical pixels required to draw the same length of a line in both directions. A 9/16 aspect ratio means that a vertical line drawn with 9 points has the same length as a horizontal line drawn with 16 points. The distance between two vertical pixels is generally greater than the distance between two horizontal pixels.
