Early dinosaurs of the Triassic age have been now no longer very large. Even the largest did now no longer grow large than four metres (thirteen feet) long. During the Jurassic period, dinosaurs grew much large. The large plant-consuming dinosaurs of this time, referred to as sauropods, have been 30–45 metres (98–a hundred and fifty feet) long.
