Can you measure sound?
Sound is measured in numerous ways: frequency, wavelength and amplitude. Sound waves vibrate at distinctive rates. These are referred to as frequencies, measured in cycles in line with 2nd or Hertz (Hz). 1 Hertz = 1 vibration in step with 2nd. A wavelength measures the duration of 1 cycle. Longer wavelengths have a decrease pitch. The lowest tones that a human can seize are approximately sixteen vibrations according to 2d, or sixteen Hz. Amplitude measures how loud the sound is. A sound wave of high amplitude will produce a louder sound. It is measured in decibels (Db).
