Why did early man need to travel?
People have usually had to journey to hunt or to change with different people. Sometimes they had to shift domestic while the rains failed. At first, they tamed animals to hold them. Later, while the wheel was invented, the animals have been connected to vehicles. Until recently, even human beings had been used to move others. They carried litters or sedan chairs wherein the wealthy sat.
