Buddhism was founded by Gautama Buddha. His childhood name was Siddhartha, kept by his father, Suddhodana. His father was the ruler of Kapilavastu. Gautama Buddha was basically born in 563 BC at Lumbini, near Kapilavastu in Nepal. He had no interest in the royal luxuries as he was inclined towards the spirituality. Buddha was married at a young age and also had a son. Gautama Buddha left his home and family to find the solution for the Four great Sights.
