Give a brief account of how Chandragupta established the Maurvan Emenire
Chandragupta Maurya founded the Mauryan empire. He was dismissed from the court of Nandas. Nandas were those who ruled before Mauryas. Kautilya was also working for Nandas but he was also dismissed. They both met at Takshila. Chandragupta along with Kautilya, also known as Chankya, fought against Nandas. And after fighting the long fights and battles with Nandas in Pataliputra, Nandas lost. Henceforth, this resulted in the decline of Nanda dynasty and rise to the new dynasty—Mauryan dynasty which was further ruled by Chandragupta Maurya.
