What were political clubs?
Some of the popular clubs during that time were- Jacobins Club, Cordeliers. Jacobin was an influential club in France which was headed by Maximilian Robespierre. This club was said to be more violent than other clubs and was responsible for the Reign of terror. Even women had their own separate clubs. Political clubs were formed by people to discuss policies of the government and to invent their own new policies.
