Maximilien Robespierre was a French lawyer who became the most influential figure in the French revolution. He founded the Jacobin political club where he was the head. The period of its reign was marked by the infamous reign of terror and was known for its heavy political violence. He made sure to execute all those who were showing faithfulness towards the monarchy which included the nobles and the clergies. The guilty would be guillotined in front of the French public. Robespierre, later himself became the target of the guillotine because of his excessive executions which even included his own party members who were against his decisions.
