Explanation Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are techniques involves extraction of egg from female and sperm from male, mixing them and allowing them to fertilize either inside the female body or outside the body. The fertilized egg (embryo) is then implanted in mother’s uterus. AI artificial insemination: The semen is collected from husband or a healthy donor and introduced in either into vagina or uterus of the female. This is also called IUI-Intra uterine insemination.
