Differentiate between the followings: (a) Repetitive DNA and Satellite DNA
The main differences between repetitive and satellite DNA are:- The repetitive DNAs comprise of highly repetitive to moderately repetitive DNA sequences but the satellite DNAs contain only the DNA sequences that are highly repetitive. The repetitive DNAs are capable of coding for ribosomal RNAs ( moderately repetitive DNAs) but the satellite DNAs cannot code for RNAs.
