Describe briefly the following: (b) Bioreactors
Bioreactors are those devices or systems which apply organisms or their products to utilize in tissue engineering as well as biochemical engineering.The different types of bioreactors are batch, fed batch and lastly continuous.In some bioreactors, the organisms or the products are needed to be submerged in either liquid or solid medium after which they are either suspended or immobilized.But in suspension bioreactors, various range of organisms can be utilized as no special attachment surface is needed.The immobilization can be done and is applicable to all types of biocatalyst present such as various enzymes, cell organelles as well as plant or animal cells.
