Calculating Scores for CUET 2022
The normalisation technique is used to determine the score because the CUET examinations are scored in many phases. The calculations used to determine the CUET 2022 score include the following steps.
- The sum of the students' marks in the CUET 2022 exams constitutes their raw score.
- Consideration is given to the highest percentile of a single session. The percentile would be 100, for instance, if the highest grade a student receives is 99 out of 100.
- Every session's highest percentile would be noted.
- There may be up to 7 decimal points in the percentage score. To determine the exact score, this is done.
- The ranks are determined using this percentile score as a base.

Total percentile (100) = (Number of candidates who appeared from the session with a raw score less or equal to total percentil) / (Total number of candidates appeared in the session)
What is tie-breaker method?
If two or more candidates apply to the same college and branch and have the same percentile, the next step would be taken (course). If two students with identical CUET scores choose the same college and course as their top choices, their Class 12 board scores or the % will be used as a tiebreaker to determine who gets what.
Marking scheme followed in CUET 2022
- Students will receive 5 marks for each accurate response.
- One mark will be subtracted for each incorrect response.
- There won't be any deductions for questions that weren't attempted.
