IBPS Clerk Language Proficiency Test 2022
All those who clear the Prelims and Mains stage have to appear for Language Proficiency Test to be finally recruited for the post of Clerk. This test is conducted to check the proficiency of the candidate in the local language. This becomes important because candidates who are recruited as clerks have to interact with the local people of the area they are posted in and thus for a smooth conversation to perform their duty effectively they should be well versed with the local language. This test is one of the easiest to clear. This is the final stage of the exam. If a candidates fails in the first attempt of LPT, then they are given 3 months extension after which they can again appear for the test. If they again fail in the test, then their candidature will be cancelled.

IBPS Clerk Language Proficiency Test Pattern
- If the exam is conducted in verbal form, comprehension reading will be asked.
- The candidates will have to write the paragraph in the local language
- The candidates will read the local language provided by the management.
- The candidates will be able to speak, write, and read the local language. If the candidates fail in the IBPS Clerk language proficiency test, there is a chance of canceling of application.
- Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
