In the state, 1140 test sites were designated for Paper II and 1336 for Paper I. In all, 296162 candidates showed up for the Teacher Eligibility Test Paper I test, while 253480 candidates showed up for the Paper II exam. The two examinations, Paper I and Paper II, of the CG Teacher Eligibility Test were administered in two shifts. Essentially, Paper I is for Class I to V whereas paper 2 for Class VI to VIII.
