1.Learn fast  typing tips through  YouTube tutorials . These tutorials will guide  you  through all the tips and step by step details of what the actual exam would be like . 
2. You can practice typing on the keyboard of your PC/ Laptop  daily so that you can score the typing test with ease . Regular typing will help you to learn where exactly which key of the keyboard is located . And with regular  typing you can type fast effortlessly without even  looking at the keyboard. This will increase your speed by at least 30-40% of what you were able to earlier . 
3.Practice online typing  in a time bound manner.Set a timer and check where exactly you stand . If you are weak at a certain point work on improving that .
4. SSC CHSL allows only a certain number of mistakes in skill test so while practicing your main focus should be to ensure that you maintain 90% accuracy in terms of  spelling, punctuation etc .
5.Analyse your mistakes and work on improving  them.
6. The exam requires that you type at a speed of 35 words per minute but you should try on hitting 40-45 words per minute . If you start with 40-45 then you'll surely end up with what is being asked in the exam .
