The Agnipath Scheme, which was launched by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the three service chiefs, would restart the recruiting process for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, which has been stalled for the past two years. The Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Agnipath Scheme.

Army Age Limit under the Agnipath Scheme

Youth between the ages of 17.5 and 21 will be recruited into the three Indian Armed Services under the Agnipath Scheme. They will get six months of training, which will be offered to men and women in stages based on service-specific requirements.

Agnipath Recruitment in 2022: How will Agniveers be chosen?

Agniveers will be enrolled in the Agnipath scheme on an 'All India All Class' basis, and they will have their own rank in the Indian Armed Forces with their own insignia.

In 90 days, Agnipath recruitment rallies will begin, with approximately 46,000 soldiers being recruited under the scheme this year, including 40,000 vacancies for the Indian Army and 3,000 for the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

When the Agniveers are freed after four years, they will be rewarded with high higher educational credits, lateral absorptions, and other bridging courses, in addition to the financial package.

What happens once you leave the Indian Armed Forces, according to Agnipath Recruitment?

Up to 25% of Agniveers will be allowed to apply voluntarily to join the services on a regular basis after departing the services after four years. It will be determined by their merit and organizational needs.

What is the salary for the Agnipath Scheme?

Apart from the usual risk and hardship allowances, Agniveers will be paid Rs. 30,000-Rs. 40,000 per month under the Agnipath Scheme.

The Seva Nidhi Contributory Package of the Agnipath Scheme requires troops to contribute 30% of their monthly emoluments, with the government matching that amount. The Agniveers will receive Rs. 11.7 lakh (plus interest) at the end of the four-year period, which would be tax-free.

Agniveers will earn nearly Rs. 1 crore in the event of death on duty, which includes the Seva Nidhi Package and the entire payment for the time they were unable to serve. They will receive Rs. 44 lakh in the event of disability, based on the percentage of disability.

Indian Air Force-
The Agnipath Scheme, according to Indian Army Chief of Staff General Manoj Pande, will transform the Indian Army's Human Resource Management.

According to General Pande, the screening and selection process would be based on a sound, transparent, fair, and strong assessment system to ensure that the Indian Army retains the "best of the best." Agniveers will be recruited on an 'All India All Class' basis by the Indian Army.

Indian Navy-
Agnipath Scheme, according to Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, will ensure that Agniveers gain experience working on the Indian Navy's state-of-the-art warships, aircraft carriers, submarines, combat aircraft, IT systems, and the latest weaponry and sensors, as well as networked systems.
