On June 30, 2022, Ketanji Brown Jackson took her oath of office as the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court, making history for the United States of America. Jackson's confirmation is a significant step, but it won't affect the US Supreme Court's 6-3 conservative majority, which has come under fire for recent decisions that include the elimination of abortion rights in the nation.
