What is Amandeep Singh Gill's background?
From 2016 to 2018, Amandeep Singh Gill served as India's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
Gill works at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Digital Health and Artificial International Research Collaborative (I-DAIR) project.
Gill served as the Executive Director and Co-Lead of the UN Secretary-High-Level General's Panel on Digital Cooperation from 2018 to 2019.
Amandeep Singh Gill also assisted in gaining high-impact international consensus recommendations on regulating Artificial Intelligence in lethal autonomous weapons systems, in addition to delivering the report of the High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation.

Amandeep Singh Gill entered India's diplomatic service in 1992 and has worked in Colombo and Tehran in various roles in the fields of disarmament, strategic technologies, and international security affairs. Gill was also a Stanford University visiting scholar.
Amandeep Singh Gill graduated from Panjab University in Chandigarh with a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Electrical Communications and a PhD in Nuclear Learning in Multilateral Forums from King's College, London. He also holds a Geneva University advanced diploma in French history and language.
