Bihar CGL Online Video Course

BSSC CGL syllabus is set by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission which conducts BSSC CGL Exam. Candidates aspiring to appear for BSSC CGL Exam should know all the details such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, salary and so on. The syllabus highlights the important subjects and topics from which questions are asked in the exam. Knowing the syllabus is essential before you start preparing for the exam.

Candidates who pass the preliminary exam are required to take the main exam. The BSSC CGL Mains syllabus is broken down into two papers. General Hindi is covered in Paper 1, while General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning are covered in Paper 2. The BSSC CGL mains syllabus can be used by candidates to thoroughly prepare for the written test.

Candidates should be aware that the first exam on the BSSC CGL Mains syllabus is in Hindi. As a result, it is essential to understand the BSSC CGL Hindi syllabus because it bears the heaviest weight. The curriculum will be based on the tenth standard.

BSSC CGL Syllabus for General Science & Mathematics

Questions in the General Science section will cover biology, physics, and chemistry. In addition, the mathematics curriculum will include questions up to the tenth standard. The table that is provided below lists the topics that will be covered in the BSSC CGL Mains syllabus.
 
General Science Mathematics
Biology subjects shall include topics such as Plant and Animal Kingdom,
Reproduction, Heredity, Evolution, Life Process, Cell, etc		 Percentage
Physics includes topics like, Motion, Human Eye, Sound, Reflection and Refraction,
Gravitation, Electricity, Energy, Magnetic Field, etc.		 Time and Work
Chemistry consists of topics such as, Chemical Reactions, Acid, Bases & Salts,
Compound, Atoms & Molecules, Matter, Periodic Table,		 Simple and Compound Interest

The detailed exam pattern along with the marking scheme is as important as the syllabus for the exam. The Exam has four stages and a detailed exam pattern must be known to all the candidates. The BSSC CGL exam pattern for each stage is as follows:
 
  • The BSSC CGL Prelims is a qualifying exam with an objective format.
  • The BSSC CGL Prelims Exam lasts for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • Candidates who pass the BSSC CGL preliminary examination are eligible to take the BSSC CGL main examination.
  • There will be three sessions of 50 questions each in the preliminary exam.
  • For a total of 600 points, there will be 150 questions.
  • For each wrong response, one mark will be deducted from your final grade.

The exam is held in form of 2 papers.
  1. Each paper is for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  2. Paper 1 is a language paper (Hindi language) having 100 questions for a total of 400 marks.
  3. There are minimum qualifying marks of 30% in paper 1, Only those candidates who are able to secure 30 % marks will be considered for paper 2.
  4. There will be 3 sections in BSSC CGL Mains Paper-2 of the main exam. The pattern and syllabus for paper-2 are similar to that of the preliminary exam.
